PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Plain Wood Shavings are a byproduct of the furniture industry. The color of the shavings is that of a clean untreated wood. Plain Wood Shavings are an inexpensive alternative to more costly bark products. When Plain Wood Shavings are mixed into the soil, water and nutrient retention are improved. In addition, soil particle separation and aeration are enhanced, reducing compaction.

PRODUCT USES:
Plain Wood Shavings can be used to amend existing soil for turf installation, in planting areas, or as a component of a custom soil mix. Plain Wood Shavings can also be used as stable bedding for horses.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:
For amending areas to be planted with turf, Plain Wood Shavings should be incorporated into existing soils by applying 3" to 4" and rotor tilling to a depth of 6" to 8". When used for general planting or backfilling trees and shrubs, mix 1 part Plain Wood Shavings with 2 parts existing soil. A pre-plant fertilizer is recommended.
