PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Native Forest Mulch is an economical alternative to more costly decorative barks. This mulch is comprised of local tree and landscaping trimmings, ground then screened to 1 1/2" minus*. It has a combination of light and dark wood with a similar appearance to the Walk On Bark.

PRODUCT USES:
Native Forest Mulch is recommended for use as a ground cover or for pathways. When used under shrubs and trees, Native Forest Mulch helps to conserve water, lower soil temperature, and reduce weed growth.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:
Recommended application rate is a minimum of 2" to 4" deep. Since raw wood or bark of any kind will draw nitrogen from the soil a nitrogen fertilizer or Lifelike 3/8" Compost should be applied before applying Redwood Deco Chips, particularly in newly landscaped areas. Fertilizer or compost will build the soil and help establish new plant growth and avoid draining nitrogen from existing landscaped areas. Fertilizer or compost is not required on pathways or when used for weed suppression since plant vitality is not desired in these areas.
