San Diego Gold Infield Soil

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
San Diego Gold Infield Soil is a finely screened mixture of clay, silt, and sand which provides a firm playing surface. Our San Diego Gold Infield Soil has a rich golden tan color. San Diego Gold Infield soil is purchased annually throughout San Diego County by little league associations and high schools as an economical alternative to our Red Infield Soil.

PRODUCT USES:
San Diego Gold Infield Soil is recommended for use on baseball and softball fields and recreation facilities, such as bocci ball courts.

PRODUCT APPLICATION:
San Diego Gold Infield Soil should be installed and compacted at an uniform depth of 4"-6". It is recommended that a professional grader is hired to ensure the playing surface is compacted and leveled accurately with the proper slopes for water drainage.

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE:
It is recommended that the infield is watered thoroughly the night before every game until there is slight standing water. Water is key to any infield maintenance. Any infield material will harden from sun exposure without proper watering. The next day, nail drag the field before the game. Do not nail drag a dry field. Drag the field with a mat, make sure alternate patterns are used and do not end your dragging where you began dragging. A thin layer of Calcined Clay may be added to the top layer to keep the base of the infield soil moist while providing a friendlier sliding surface.
